$1,245,350 Raised So Far

Over 50 United Way volunteers, representing 30 local companies or organizations, gathered Thursday morning at Terra Cafe to track the annual campaign progress. After all volunteers reported, United Way campaign results totaled $1,245,350 or 85% of the $1,465,000 goal for Monongalia and Preston Counties. 

West Virginia University reported that $290,053 to date has been raised toward their $330,000 goal.

WVU Hospitals reported that $179,014 has been contributed by their employees.

Other companies reporting were BB&T with over $20,024 raised so far, Mylan Pharmaceuticals with over $225,500 contributed toward their goal, and United Bank with over $32,989.00.

The Combined Federal Campaign, which includes all federal employees, has raised over $130,000 with contributions still coming in through December.

“This is the time of the campaign that we have to remind everyone that every gift, however large or small, is a vital part of meeting our community goal, “ commented Brett White, Director of Development and Marketing. “The 49 programs receiving funding from the United Way depends on each of us to do our part, so they can continue providing crucial services to our community.”
