Monetary donations being collected for Full Service Food Drive on Oct. 20

MORGANTOWN – The 24th Annual Full Service Food Drive returns Wednesday, Oct. 20, but due to COVID-19, only monetary donations will be accepted again this year.

From 7 a.m.-6 p.m. that day, the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties will collect money to purchase nonperishable food items, personal care items, and cleaning supplies. West Virginia Radio Corporation will help with the monetary drive by promoting it on the radio.

The drive is sponsored by The Dominion Post, WVAQ, WAJR, and WKKW. Funds collected during the drive will be used to purchase food for food pantries in Monongalia County through the Food and Hunger Committee of the United Way Family Resource Network.
