MORGANTOWN – As the chill of winter sets in, several organizations and individuals have come together to manage and operate a cold weather shelter. The Monongalia County warming shelter opened for the season Thursday, Dec. 1, at Hazel’s House of Hope in Morgantown.

MORGANTOWN – The 24th Annual Full Service Food Drive returns Wednesday, Oct. 20, but due to COVID-19, only monetary donations will be accepted again this year.
From 7 a.m.-6 p.m. that day, the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties will collect money to purchase nonperishable food items, personal care items, and cleaning supplies. West Virginia Radio Corporation will help with the monetary drive by promoting it on the radio.
