Organization’s total community impact is about $3 million

MORGANTOWN – Honks of horns from cars and trucks filled the air Wednesday as drivers passed by United Way staff, board members and advocates on their morning commutes. The United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties officially kicked off its 2024 Campaign with a Honk and Wave hour at three locations around Morgantown and one in Kingwood.

MORGANTOWN – The area’s largest single-day volunteer project returned on Wednesday, May 10, with a whopping 230 volunteers taking part in service projects all across Monongalia and Preston counties.

MORGANTOWN – The United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties officially announced Tuesday, March 7, that it had raised $1,217,449 during its 2023 Campaign. The announcement was made at the campaign wrap-up, which was held Tuesday morning at the Hartley Club in the Milan Puskar Center in Morgantown.

MORGANTOWN – As the chill of winter sets in, several organizations and individuals have come together to manage and operate a cold weather shelter. The Monongalia County warming shelter opened for the season Thursday, Dec. 1, at Hazel’s House of Hope in Morgantown.
