Help Feed Families Through the 44th Annual Holiday Toy and Food Distribution

This July, United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties invites you to take part in a simple challenge that can make a big impact.

Our Holiday Toy and Food Distribution has supported local families for over four decades. This year, we need your help to make sure every family has food on the table this holiday season.

The Challenge

Give $5. Tag 5 friends. Help feed local families.

Every $25 raised provides a full holiday meal for a family in our community. Your $5 gift, multiplied through community participation, helps us reach more families than ever before.

How You Can Help

Why It Matters

  • Many households in Monongalia and Preston counties face food insecurity, especially during the winter months

  • In 2023, our Holiday Toy and Food Distribution served over 1,800 individuals, including 731 children and 500 seniors

  • With rising grocery costs, families are struggling to afford basic meals—especially during the holidays

  • Just $25 can provide a full holiday meal, and your support helps make that possible for families in need

Important Dates

  • Fundraiser runs: July 15–30

  • Program impact: Funds raised will help purchase food for the 44th Annual Holiday Toy and Food Distribution, happening in December 2025
